Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has officially won Best Animated Movie at the Critics Choice Awards.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse became beloved by fans and critics alike when it was released in theaters in early December. It hasn’t been the gigantic box office hit that Aquaman is but it’s still made a nice profit and it has surprisingly been a key player in the Best Animated Movie category this awards season.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse recently had a surprise win at the Golden Globes when it took home the award for Best Animated Motion Picture. Now, the hit film has snatched another win at the Critics Choice Awards. The Awards ceremony has granted Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse with the award for Best Animated Movie, giving it an even larger chance at success when the Academy Awards come around in just a few months.
Many fans previously thought that, as usual, Pixar would be sweeping the awards shows with Incredibles 2 but that hasn’t been the case so far. Hopefully, this means that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will get the love it deserves at the Academy Awards later this year.
