Matt Hardy comes to the defense of WWE over John Oliver’s segment

More WWE stars continue to come out and talk about the segment done by John Oliver on WWE.

There has been a lot of reaction to the segment done by Oliver on Last Week Tonight about the critique of WWE and how they treat their talent.

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy is the latest talent to speak out. He did so when he spoke with FOX News where he was asked about. This is where Hardy made it known that he thinks some topics presented by Oliver was “kind of outdated.” Hardy would bring up how WWE has covered any surgery that he’s had to undergo. Hardy mentioned that WWE has improved things compared to 20 years ago when he first started in WWE.

Towards the end of the interview, Hardy was quoted by stating, “They’ve taken care of me in every capacity, every front. They’ve given me a great life. I mean one of the characters I play is ‘Big Money’ Matt, who’s like this millionaire that’s been around for a long time. You know there’s a lot of truth to it in some ways. I wouldn’t have that persona and I wouldn’t have the great life that I have right now if it wasn’t for WWE.”
